Dependence on Technology in Today’s Time.

Try to imagine a life without our mobile phones, our computers or the electrical appliances we use at our houses; what a miserably difficult life would that be. In today’s world, technology has taken over us so much that it has become an important part of our everyday lives.  Almost everything we do involves technology in some way or the other. As they say a coin has 2 different faces, one positive and one negative, development of technology has made human life much easier than it was earlier. It has made our ways of communication faster and better, it has increased our ways and abilities to travel, it has given us more means for entertainment and has made our lives much more luxurious.

Before technology, entertainment was only limited to spending time with friends, going outside to watch a play or a circus etc.

But then cinema halls and televisions were made. Now even while sitting inside our houses we can stream thousands and thousands of programs/movies. Not only our entertainment but also education has evolved because of technology development.  Earlier, we could get information about something from either a textbook or a person. But now any information that we need, is just a click away, all thanks to the technology which has developed and changed our lives. While technology is slowly but effectively changing our lives- it is also making us humans more and more dependent. Technology is slowly chipping away our ability to interact with each other. Even if we are not addicted, technology is having a deep impact on our mental and physical health as well as our well-being. It has led to an increase in various social evils like cyberbullying, which is one of the many dangers of technology among young people.

Technology might be really helpful but on the same hand is making us dependent on it. One day in future we might not be able to walk without technology. So the question we need to ask ourselves is whether technology has made our lives easier or difficult?
