New Era
Public School, Dwarka organised a trip to Shimla, Chail and Kufri just after
the mid-term examinations between 25th and 30th September. The AC bus, fully
packed with students and teachers headed for Hail Himalayas Adventure Camp in
Chail. The students were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the
students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.
Students
and teachers were welcomed by the guides at Hail Himalaya. They
were
served breakfast of idli chutney, poha, and paranthas, toasts and scrambled
eggs. Students were given important information about the flora and fauna of
the region and instructions on how to stay in the tent. All students and
teachers took part in various adventure activities at the camp like rappelling,
zip lining, ropes course, swings and trampoline. After the activities they all
had a delicious lunch and took rest for some time. In the evening DJ Dance
around the bonfire was organised followed by an elaborate dinner at
night.
On the
next day, the group of students and teachers went for riverside trekking. The group
walked a stretch of 3 kms along the river near the campsite and were mesmerized
by the breathtaking natural beauty of the region.
After
breakfast the group left for Shimla and reached Hotel Royal Regency in the
afternoon. In the evening, the group went to the mall road where students
had a lot of fun.
The next
day was full of enjoyment with a visit to the zoo in Kufri where students
spotted the tiger, deers, a variety of pheasants, parakeets and bears. Students
had their favourite Maggi and bhel puri in the beautiful weather of Kufri and
took pictures with the famous Himalayan Yalk around the gorgeous green
mountains. After this, the group headed to the hotel for lunch followed by an
antakshari session in which all the students and teachers participated. It was
a fun-filled experience for all. In the evening, DJ party followed by dumb charades
was organised, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The next
morning on 30th September, our buses started homeward journey at about 10 am.
At about 10 p.m. the buses entered the school campus. The parents had already
been waiting for their children. Everyone had a big smile on their faces
indicating they had had a great fun.
