Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the tiny tots of New Era Public School, Dwarka celebrated the festival on 24th December 2018 with gaiety .
The delightful celebrations included various activities.
The students of LKG and UKG crafted a Christmas tree with triangles of different sizes and decorated it. The students of classes I and II made a figure of Santa Claus
using paper plate.
The children enjoyed the activities which not only exhibited their creativity but also updated their knowledge about the festival.

    The students of Class III, IV, V visited Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum on 12th December, 2018. The trip began with a lot of enthusiasm and curiosity. The Museum showcased paintings and personal belongings of the Presidents of India. It had various displays giving information on political leaders and peace movements. The students were shown a short documentary film on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, depicting his contribution in the freedom struggle. The use of advanced multimedia to showcase Mahatma Gandhi’s life style and his principles not only increased the awareness of children but also instilled in them a sense of nationalism.

    The museum depicts the planning and construction of the Rashtrapati Bhavan; the British Viceroys who occupied the building till independence, their reaction towards the freedom movement in the country; transfer of power; formation of the Republic and the life and work of 13 presidents of India ,since 1950.

     The Virtual reality room caught the attention and fascination of the children. On the whole it was an enriching learning experience.

      The children and the teachers of LKG and UKG visited Saraswati Farms on 7th December,2018.The children were taken around the farm. The gardeners explained to the children how the vegetables are grown, taken care of and harvested . They were shown the plants of the vegetables like spinach, beetroot, cauliflower, garlic, coriander and radish . Later on a question answer session was held to clarify their doubts. They enjoyed the visit and gained insight into the world of agriculture.

        New Era Public School, Dwarka celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day on 7th December, 2018 to commemorate the valour of martyrs of the three Armed Forces of India.
        Each and every student, the teachers and the staff members pinned the flag on their uniform with pride and acknowledged their courage and sacrifice. 
        The students gained some insight into the three colours on the flag and the insignia represented on the flag. The celebration left them filled with pride for their country and the Armed Forces.
