The verve and excitement were evident and contagious as students from 19 schools participated in Renaissance 2019 at New Era Public School, Dwarka on 25th and 26th July 2019.

The two day inter-school fest comprised of the most innovative competitions such as TED talks, Spill poetry, Milkshake with me, Alternate reality, Website Designing , Navras Bhaav Pradarshan , Entrepreneurs’ meet etc.

The event was inaugurated by the Chairperson Mrs. Usha Chopra and the Director Mr. Rohit Chopra, who encouraged the students to not focus on competing , but rather presenting their best with incessant conviction.

The delirium could be seen till the prize distribution ceremony on the second day of the event. All event wise winners were awarded by the Director, New Era Public School Dwarka and St. Thomas’ School Dwarka tied for the Rolling Trophy, wherein the host school presented the coveted trophy to the latter.

    New Era Public School, Dwarka believes in providing fun-based learning opportunities to its students. The students of classes LKG and UKG enjoyed the Newton disc making activity wherein the little ones coloured the Newton disc in seven colours of the rainbow. The Newton disc is a well-known physics experiment with a rotating disc with segments in different colors appearing as white when it spins very fast.  Children could also relate the Newton's disc to the rainbow. It was a fun-filled and brain storming activity.

      New Era Public School Dwarka had the privilege to host the ALL INDIA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES U-14 TENNIS TOURNAMENT at the school tennis courts
      from 22nd July, 2019 to 26th July, 2019.
      This tournament was played under the aegis of the AITA(ALL India Tennis Association). More than 150 students in both categories of boys and girls all over India participated in this championship. This championship was for the All India ranking of U-14 players. 
      Three stdents of NEPS dwarka participated in this championship:
      • Atulya Atri was adjudged the overall winner in 'Boys U-14' category and his India rating now stands at 81.
      • Lagan Budhiraja reached the quarters (Round of 08) and is now ranked at 300.
      • Vishes Singh reached the Pre-Quarter (Round of 16) and is now ranked at 293.

        Children have fascination for bright colours; NEPS Dwarka organised 'Relay races' for the young runners. "Colours make our life interesting and for children colours involved with sports is a great joy." The theme for these races was "Colours".


        The winners from LKG were as follows:

        First position was bagged by Ridhhan Godara, second by Devesh Godara

        Third prize went to Paras Singh.

        The winners from UKG were as follows:

        First position was bagged by by Ansh, second by Ananshi Prashar and the 

        third prize was won by Lakshaya.


          Learning beyond bookish realms for our little wonders

          “Give the pupils something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking; learning naturally results.”  
          We, at NEPS, Dwarka believe in experiential learning. 
          Our students of LKG and UKG tried their hands at Pasta making as a part of Cooking Corner activity on 15th July 2019. The children brought boiled pasta, chopped cucumber, mayonnaise sauce and tomato ketchup from home. The teacher explained the children how to make Pasta salad. A few questions were asked after the activity regarding the steps and ingredients. The children enjoyed eating pasta salad.

            Slogan writing, Painting and Poster making activity
            The students of Classes III to VIII actively participated in  slogan writing, painting and poster making activity on the theme 'Save our Earth'.   Directorate of Education provided this great opportunity to the school students as a part of the Jan Shakti Abhiyan which  was held on 15th July, 2019.  The students painted their perceptions on paper about saving the planet earth from pollution and other damages. The students wonderfully depicted the dangers harming the planet and also the uniqueness of the planet was showcased through the variations of colours.

              NEPS always strives to make the New Erians sensitive and aware towards environment. With the noble mission of making our city green and serene,  the students of Class X at NEPS, Dwarka organised a plantation drive on 15th July, 2019 as a part of Jan Shakti Abhiyan launched by Directorate of Education, Delhi. The motto behind this initiative was an effort to sensitize students towards poor air quality index. The students planted saplings in the school garden to raise awareness and consciousness about environment among the school students. 

                Visit to Aapka Bazar 

                A visit to a departmental store was organized on 12th July, 2019 for classes LKG and UKG of New Era Public School,Dwarka. A group of 58 students were taken to Aapka Bazar, Sector-12, Dwarka. Children were shown the various things available at the store. They were excited to go the store. The children were told about the various counters at the store.
                The trip was enjoyable and the children came back to school with fond memories of the departmental store.
                  The Inter-house football matches were held for Classes IX to XII from 1st to 5th July, 2019  and for Classes VI to VIII from 8th to 10th July, 2019.
                  The final match was played between Atharva Veda and Rig Veda House. 
                  Atharva Veda house emerged victorious on a penalty shoot out of 5-4.
