A special assembly to mark the festival of Krishna Janamashtami was organised on 31st August,2018 for the students of classes LKG, UKG, I and II.The students of School Choir sang a melodious devotional song seeking blessings of Lord Krishna.

The students presented a mesmerizing dance sequence on the life of Lord Krishna. The enthralling dance performance was enjoyed and appreciated by all.

The director, Mr Rohit Chopra praised the students for the wonderful show and acquainted the students with the concept of Dahi Handi Celebrations.

The Principal, Mrs Kanwal Kohli emphasised on the teachings of Krishna and urged everyone to imbibe the same.

The day gave the students an insight into the Indian values and diverse festival celebrations.

    Integrating Values through Sports

    Sports Gala @ NEPS, Dwarka


    A three-day long sports gala was organized by New Era Public School Dwarka on 30th August, 31st August and 4th September 2018. The vision was to embed values such as sportsmanship, discipline, leadership and team spirit, while retaining the essence of healthy competition amid students. It was a rare event where girls participated in each and every sports event along with the boys.

    The event was declared open by the Chairperson after a welcome speech to boost the morale of all the participants. Seventeen schools participated in the gala, which consisted of five sporting events namely basketball, football, table tennis, volleyball and throwball.

    At the felicitation ceremony, the event-wise winners were awarded by Mrs. Usha Chopra, the Chairperson and Mr. Rohit Chopra, the Director of New Era Public School Dwarka. The overall trophy was bagged by ITL Public School Dwarka.

    It was a stimulating event, wherein students learnt to accept winning and defeat with grace and humility. The event proved to be a great platform for students to prove their mettle, and learn from one another, in different sports.


      The students of LKG and UKG had Hindi Rhyme Recitation Competition on 27th August, 2018. 
      15 students from UKG and 10 students from LKG were shortlisted on 24th August for the final round of Recitation which was held on 27th August, 2018.
      Winners from LKG were:
      Ist- Ananshi Parashar and Aaruhi Singh
      2nd- Atharva
      3rd- Akshit Singh

      Winners from UKG were:
      1st- Heenal Kundra
      2nd- Drishti Udar
      3rd- Dhruvi Bansal.

      These children will be given Participation certificates and certificates according to their positions.

        The celebration of forthcoming festival of Raksha Bandhan was done with some exciting activities conducted on 24th August,2018.

        The students of Class LKG and UKG crafted raakhis with colourful papers and decorative material. These handmade threads of love were tied around the wrist of the boys of the class. The boys reciprocated with chocolates. The students filled colours in an outlined picture related to the festival.

        The students of Class I and II learnt the art of braiding and made colourful threads. The activity was engaging, energizing and equipped the students with a lifelong learning.The day gave the students an insight into the special bond of love between a brother and a sister.

          The students of NEPS, Dwarka indulged in some exciting constructive activities during the summer vacation of 2018. The holiday homework revolved around the theme of  Plant and Animal kingdom for Class LKG , UKG and around five elements of nature for classes I to Class V. Their efforts were showcased during the Holiday Homework Display on August 18,2018 in the school premises. The creativity and originality of the work was appreciated by one and all. 

            Independence Day Activities

            The importance of Independence day in the history of India was put across to the students of Junior classes. Various craft activities were conducted to celebrate the love and beauty of our Country, India. The beautiful tricolor flag was made by drawing, colouring and using marigold flowers. The students

            of LKG and UKG made tricolor paper tulips and fan by the technique of paper folding. To accentuate the hidden message of unity in a flower as simple

            and common as marigold, each student of class I made a tricolour using marigold flowers, on the 14th of August.

            The students participated with great enthusiasm in the activities.

              Celebrating the 72nd Independence Day of the nation, students and teachers at New Era Public School Dwarka appeared dipped in the patriotic fervor. After the tricolor was unfurled by the Chairperson, Mrs. Usha Chopra, and the Director, Mr. Rohit Chopra, the cultural extravaganza commenced.

              Students recited poetry, the choir presented songs and the school’s senior dance troupe performed to honour the bravehearts who have sacrificed their lives for the country. Students from classes UKG and grade 1 dressed as famous freedom fighters, recreated some of the excerpts from the latter’s famous speeches.

              Taking forward the essence of patriotism, students from grades V and VI shared how they love their country and vowed to make it a better place. From respecting the environment to saving water, from adhering to road safety rules to being empathetic towards others, the students redefined the meaning of a true patriot for their counterparts.
